The purpose of this Decree-Law is to:

• the health protection of plants, products and plants intended for multiplication by the prevention and control of plant pests both in terms of their introduction and in terms of their spread on national territory;
• the dissemination and popularization of plant protection techniques for the improvement of plant production;
• support for exports of plants and plant products;
• national in terms of plant protection;
• the implementation of the national pesticide policy.
