On September 1, 2015, the Collective of Climato-Realists was launched, a major French-speaking movement dedicated to a critical approach to the climate issue. In just a few months, this collective brought together several hundred people and associations and groups from various origins. The petition of the Collective against the eviction by France Télévisions by journalist Philippe Verdier obtained twenty thousand signatures from all over the world, as well as international media coverage. The “Counter-COP21” on December 8 in Paris was an unprecedented gathering of recognized figures of French-speaking climate-realism.
