In this paper, the author discusses the definition and principles of a new and still little-known discipline, ecological restoration. Based on examples, it describes the methodological approach that can lead to satisfactory conclusions of restorative action. It also shows that in addition to the conservation of rare existing climate ecosystems, new strategies should be adopted to accelerate the self-repair of an ecosystem while respecting its health, integrity and sustainable management.
