The aim of the present study is to analyze the evolutionary potentialities of the forest of the Kibira National Park (PNK), and more specifically to evaluate the indicators of the “edge” effect, for the conquest of a new space or the regression in terms of forest cover in this Park. The data was collected using the transect method. Their analysis focused mainly on the comparison between the interacting areas along the transects and on the basis of the composition and flora richness, forest regeneration as well as the identification of species that can play the role
of facilitating, competing or inhibiting forest regeneration and development.
