The present study was carried out in the National Parks of Kibira, Rusizi, Ruvubu, the Kigwena and Rumonge Forest Nature Reserves and their coastal agricultural environments as well as the agroecosystems of the central plateaus. During this study, the species of melipones were identified, their distribution and their relative abundance were analyzed. The most visited plants as well as the frequency of visits of Meliponula species were analyzed. The Sørensen Similarity Index (1948) made it possible to compare the different ecosystems studied.
