In 2002, Burundi set up its Biodiversity Information Exchange Center (CHM-Burundians) as part of the Belgian Partnership under the Convention on Biological Diversity. Since then, INECN has been working in collaboration with the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences of Belgium through signed memoranda of understanding focused on several areas.
