The exhibition of major innovative achievements of ISABU took place at the headquarters of the General Directorate located on Avenue de la Cathédrale. This exhibition was combined with a visit to the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Burundi (ISABU en cigle) on October 15, 2015 by the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock during the week dedicated to World Food Day. The public massively responded to the appointment to learn about its new innovations. The theme of the day is: “ISABU upstream to break the cycle of rural poverty”

ISABU showed the public its following major achievements:

1.In the promotion of crops with high added value for cassava, potatoes, wheat, banana, beans, etc.;

2.In promoting breeding with breeds with high milk and meat yields;

3.In the promotion of techniques for the conservation of the environment;

4.In the processing and preservation of agricultural and livestock products;

5.Laboratory equipment and services for research and partners.
