Spawning areas are found on the shoreline of lakes or rivers and have a characteristic physical appearance. To lay eggs, fish prefer places with a weak current because the young do not yet know how to swim; they look for hiding places to ensure their safety (rocks, they hide between the stones; plants, they hide under the roots; sand in which they flee the eggs); they also choose places near rivers for the food of the young.
