Project: Promotion of resilient agriculture for the Batwa community in Mutumba in the face of climate change

As part of this project “promoting resilient agriculture in favor of the Batwa community in Mutumba in the face of climate change” executed by APRN/BEPB, plant material as well as agricultural equipment were given to 2 cooperatives bringing together Batwa households from Mubaragaza hill. The project received financial support from Land is Life, which was used to make vegetable seeds available in order to help Batwa households in Mutumba effectively combat food insecurity and malnutrition and deal with the harmful effects of climate change. The seeds distributed consisted of amaranths, eggplants, and sweet potato cuttings and were all improved. In addition to plant material, the project also provided agricultural equipment consisting of sprayers, watering cans and plant protection products.
