Project: Support for the improvement of the living conditions of the Batwa in the municipality of Mutumba

The project, with financial support from Land is Life, distributed 132 rabbits to 61 households in Batwa in the two sub-hills Mubaragaza and Musenge. These animals contribute to improving the production of organic manure. In addition, animals ensure the long-term availability of a source of animal protein. Finally, rabbits constitute a capital likely to start an income-generating activity in households in Batwa in the Mutumba commune.

The distribution of animals saw the participation of the municipality's technical services agents, namely the communal veterinarian and the Collinaire Community Development Agent. In addition, the Collinar Animal Health Agent (ACSA) was directly involved in monitoring animal health. The latter produces regular reports to the head of the APRN/BEPB center. On this occasion, the Administration of the Mutumba municipality was represented by the Socio-Economic Councilor of the municipality.
