This strategy will enable the Country, on the one hand, to strengthen the capacities of stakeholders involved in the REDD+ process and to set up tools for monitoring forest cover; on the other hand, to make reductions in accordance with available scientific data in order to achieve a balance between anthropogenic emissions by sources and anthropogenic removals by sinks of greenhouse gases.
