2020 Mar 12Installation of beekeeping apiaries on the banks of the Bururi Reserve
Two apiaries were built on the Gikokoma sub-hill of Murago Hill in favor of the TUVEMUBJA Community Association. The two apiaries each contain thirty modern hives, also provided as part of the “integrated management of the Bururi Forest Nature Reserve” project. In addition, the TUVEMUBUJA Association has benefited from beekeeping tools including smokers, overalls, booties, shirt masks and a honey extractor.
