As part of the “program of research, information exchange, awareness-raising and conservation of biodiversity in Burundi” established under the Memorandum of Understanding between OBPE and the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences of Belgium (IRSCnb), the monitoring of bamboos at the quadrant level set up by the “Biodiversity” project funded by UNDP-GEF at the Kibira National Park (PNK) continued in February 2020. Bamboo monitoring in this park took place from 11 to 14 February 2020 respectively in the Musigati, Rwegura and Teza sectors, sectors where bamboos are found in abundance.
