Report on research activities on pollinating insects at Mount Teza in Kibira National Park, Bujumbura and Rusizi for the third quarter, 2019

The Burundian Office for Environmental Protection (OBPE), through the “Program of Research, Information Exchange, Information Exchange, Awareness and Conservation of Biodiversity in Burundi” under the funding of the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences of Belgium (IRSNB), has the mission of conducting research on pollinators in order to improve knowledge on the functioning of pollination as an ecosystem service. This research helps to improve the state of biodiversity, fight poverty, and improve food security. Thus, pollinator collection trips were organized on September 24 to 25, 2019 at Mount Teza in Kibira National Park, in Rusizi National Park and in the city of Bujumbura to carry out research activities on pollinating insects. These activities count for the follow-up of activities carried out during the months of July, August and September of the third quarter of 2019 by support staff.
