As part of the CHM-OBPE project, the OBPE through the “Program of Research, Information Exchange, Information Exchange, Awareness and Conservation of Biodiversity in Burundi” under the funding of the IRSNB has the mission of conducting research on the ecosystem services of plants in Burundi. In this context, research on Oxythenanthera abyssinica was carried out by a consultant, Mr. Jacques Nkengurutse, professor at the University of Burundi, Faculty of Sciences, Department of Biology. Thus, a raid was carried out by an OBPE executive, Mr. Ndayikeza Longin to supervise the inventory, mapping and characterization of Oxythenanthera abyssinica in MAKAMBA and RUTANA on the dates of 07 and 08 January 2020.
