Report on the socio-economic assessment of the situation of neighbouring households that received support from the “Biodiversity” project

During the implementation of the “Biodiversity” project jointly financed by the Government of Burundi, UNDP and GEF, households bordering the Kibira and Ruvubu national parks benefited from income-generating activities (IGAs) in order to preserve the natural resources of these parks. In this context, the project commissioned a socio-economic study to assess its impact on the lives of beneficiary households.
