This document will guide the project in the execution of the planned investments and will take into account the environmental guidelines of the country and the World Bank. It should include an analysis and sorting procedure that will determine, for each proposed intervention: the World Bank operational guidelines that could be applied and the levels/types of environmental analyses that are required (for example a comprehensive environmental and social assessment (ESIA) containing an environmental and social management plan (ESMP) containing an environmental and social management plan (ESMP), a PGES only, or a simple application of good work practices. The CGES will also define the typical content of each instrument and describe the modalities for its preparation, review, approval, and monitoring of its implementation. While discussing these points, the Consultant should describe the institutional arrangements for implementing the PCGES by clarifying the roles and responsibilities and of all stakeholders involved in the implementation of the project. In this case, the aim is to identify the actors and entities involved in each of the stages: sorting, selection, environmental (and social) categorization of the microproject, preparation and approval of the TDRs and the ESIA reports, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the ESIA reports, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the ESGs.
