Wetlands are disappearing under the pressures of artificialization and urbanization even though they constitute our life insurance! They are essential for the good balance of our territories both environmentally and socioeconomically. It is urgent to act to stop their disappearance and degradation!

Restoring natural functioning to wetlands altered by certain developments and human activities is one of the recognized and effective ways to regain the good ecological condition of our waters and to better manage floods. This is an absolute priority, especially as these natural infrastructures can offer many other advantages and meet local challenges! We do not know enough, but wetlands play a major role in favor of biodiversity, adaptation to climate change, the living environment, and the economic and social development of territories. They thus contribute to the good management of public finances.

To convince yourself of this, read these sheets and, as the pages go by, draw inspiration from the feedback presented. You, who are initiators of ideas and decision-makers for your territories, engage in projects by mobilizing as many actors as possible alongside you. The arguments in favor of wetlands are here, in this booklet, adopt them!
