As part of the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and its instruments, I have the honour to inform you that the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock through the Burundian Office for Environmental Protection in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Programme is organizing a workshop to launch and consult with stakeholders for the development of a project entitled: “Building capacities in Burundi to implement the Enhanced Transparency Framework under the Paris Agreement”, in French “Strengthening Burundi's capacities for the implementation of the Enhanced Transparency Framework under the Paris Agreement” to be submitted to the Global Environment Facility (GEF) for financing.

The said workshop will take place in Bujumbura at the Restaurant la Détente for in-person participants on November 10 and 11, 2021. The workshop will start at 8:00am each time.
