As part of the partnership between the Burundian Office for Environmental Protection (OBPE) and the Association “Conservation and Communities of Change”, 3C in acronym, a training meeting was held in the premises of the new office of the Manager of Natural Monuments of the East (MNE) located in Shanga, from 19 to 20 January 2022. The objectives of this meeting were to strengthen the capacities of the members of the multi-actor committee set up by the Director General of OBPE on the proposal of the Governor of the Province of Rutana and to develop an act of commitment that binds the 2 parties, namely the OBPE and the multi-actor committee. Organized with the financial support of the 3C Association, representatives of the administration and local communities, the OBPE and the 3C Association participated in this training session and was led by two OBPE executives.
