2022 Aug 01Anti-money laundering and terrorist financing policy
The Policy applies to all employees, directors and managers, as well as to contractors under the direct supervision of OBPE, our suppliers and our technical and financial partners. The Policy to Combat Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism established by the OBPE is based on best practices adopted by several development finance institutions and aims to ensure the identification, assessment and adequate mitigation of integrity risks taking into account the nature, scale and complexity of the Office's activities.
The aim of this policy is to prevent the Office from being exposed to a significant reputational risk, from suffering serious financial losses or from engaging in legal liability that may give rise to disputes from technical and financial partners as well as these local collaborators. The OBPE will thus ensure that its funds and the funds it administers are not used to finance illicit activities related to money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
