Awareness of the relationships between managers and communities bordering protected areas (Ruvubu National Park)

Kirundi proverbs remind us that: “You live without wanting to know and you age without knowing”, “One person alone does not give advice” while “Concerted decisions often lead to success”.

And it is on these principles that a study on human-wildlife conflicts was conducted at the PNR

The information collected helps with a visual design for the sustainable management of Ruvubu National Park.

Thus, a workshop was organized on June 29 to 30, 2023 in Kigamba, a municipality bordering the Ruvubu National Park, a workshop to raise awareness on the relationships between managers and communities bordering protected areas in order to call on communities to call on communities to sustainably protect biodiversity and comply with current regulations.
