On November 14 to 27, 2023, a survey was organized to monitor the dynamics of habitats in the three national parks of Burundi. The objectives of the descent were to:

- Identify possible changes in habitats on the quadrants of the ecological trails pre-established in the Kibira, Rusizi and Ruvubu National Parks;

- Create herbariums of species newly developed on sites or unidentified for their conservation in the herbarium and for their subsequent determination;

- Identify the potential threats of these protected areas;

- Establishing a database on the evolution of ecosystem states over the years Thirty-two stakeholders are involved in activities to monitor the dynamics of habitats in Kibira, Rusizi and Rusvubu.
