The information network on two-winged pollinators in sub-Saharan Africa
“PINDIP” focuses on the role of diptera in the pollination of plants in the Afrotropical region. He does this by creating a network of diptera taxonomists and plant-insect interaction ecologists. For example, several major Afrotropical institutes currently do not have Diptera curators or technical staff and need advice on identifying and maintaining collections. In order to build a sustainable network of taxonomists trained on Afrotropical Diptera in the Afrotropical region, training courses for technicians and students focused on the tutoring of collections curators are also organized.
