On December 9 to 11, 2023, as part of the Program for Research, Information Exchange, Awareness and Conservation of Biodiversity in Burundi executed in partnership between the Burundian Office for Environmental Protection (OBPE) and the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences of Belgium (IRSNB), a decent data collection was organized on the monitoring of fires in the existing quadrants set up in the RUVVB National Park (IRSNB). UBU (PNR). The objective of the decent was to collect data in the plot where the September management fires were applied. The activities on this site consisted first of all reminding us of the techniques for collecting data at the dial level and completing the pre-established field sheets. The work consisted of sampling the dominant species in the plot the plot where the September management fires were applied. For each of these species, its relative coverage and the average height in each stratum are estimated. The traces of animals passing through the plot were also observed.
