The OBPE herbarium is located in the office in Jabe. It preserves species collected in several ecosystems in Burundi, especially protected areas. However, within the framework of the Biological Diversity Information Exchange Center, the OBPE, through the Research Program, information exchange, awareness-raising and conservation of biodiversity in Burundi, under the funding of the IRSNB, has the mission of strengthening the Herbarium in accordance with International standards. During the month of April, activities such as the labeling of the herbarium herbarium, the verification of plant species records and the registration of preserved samples from the OBPE were carried out.
