| The collaboration between the National Institute for Environment and Nature Conservation of Burundi and the Royal Museum for Central Africa dates from 2002 and so far concerns the fields of Taxonomy and Ecology. |
Since the year 2002, the National Institute for Environment and Nature Conservation, which works in biodiversity, has initiated a framework of collaboration with the MRAC in several areas:
- Spider taxonomy;
- Studies on Syrphidae and Tephritidae;
- Diplopod taxonomy.
It is in this context that executives and research students at INECN participate in several research visits as part of the African Biodiversity Information Center (CIBA) program of the Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA). In addition, several publications have already been produced.
