| On March 29, 2016, the intern student carried out a field visit to the Palmeraie sector of Kibira National Park during which some plant species were harvested. The latter were preserved in newspaper papers by pressing them with metal presses to facilitate identification. |
The samples of the species collected were dried. After drying, the intern moved on to their determination. During this determination, the OBPE herbarium and that of the University of Burundi were consulted to confirm the results. Even if its duration was short, the internship reinforced the theoretical knowledge learned during the academic course.
