The meeting aimed to intensively post information on the web pages of the institutions of origin of Focal Points (PFIs) on the website and to train new Interinstitutional Focal Points on the structure of the CHM-Burundians and to post information on the website of this center. This meeting saw the participation of old and new PFIs. In his opening remarks at the meeting, the CHM National Focal Point (PFN-CHM) first welcomed the participants and gave the floor to each participant to introduce themselves. The new PFIs were:
- Mr HAVUGWAMENSHI Victor, PFI of the Directorate-General for Agriculture;
- Mr MANIRAMBONA Jean Marie, PFI of the Directorate of Waters, Fisheries and Aquaculture;
- Mr NDAYIKEZA Longin, PFI for ecosystem services within OBPE;
- Mr MBARUSHIMANA Didier, PFI for the dynamics of habitats within the OBPE;
- Mr. HAKIZIMANA Eliakim, PFI of the General Directorate of Livestock.
As different groups were present, the National Focal Point then indicated that the agenda for the day will be the posting of information for the old PFIs and a training session for the new PFIs. Thus, a presentation relating the history of the CHM-Burundian was finally presented to allow the new PFIs to have an overview of the birth, mission and functioning of the Burundian CHM-Burundian (fig. 1a-c).
