This Wednesday, 07/02/2018, a second quarterly meeting of Interinstitutional Focal Points (PFIs) was held in the premises of the liaison office of the Burundian Office for Environmental Protection (OBPE). This meeting saw the participation of the various PFIs from the various institutions working in the field of biodiversity. |

The activities of this meeting were marked by the intensive posting of information concerning the various activities related to biodiversity that took place in their respective institutions and the formation of a new Interinstitutional Focal Point of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mr. Enock Ndayishimiye. This activity was preceded by the creation of the account for this new PFI by Mr. Masabo Onesphore, National Focal Point of ABS-CH (Access and Benefit-Sharing Clearing-House) upon authorization of the National Focal Point of the CHM-Belge, Mr. Han de Koiejer |

Afterwards, the Attaché of the CHM-Burundian began the training of the new Focal Point and this training consisted of a detailed presentation of the CHM-Burundian site, the search and reading of information on the site as well as the posting of information on the site, more particularly the posting of news, events, the posting of news, events, the creation of web pages and links, the insertion of images and tables without forgetting the creation of directories. Thus, a directory from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism has been added to the CHM-Burundian website. |
During this meeting 34 pieces of information could be posted by the PFIs but due to the internet connection problem, 17 pieces of information could not be posted. At the end of this meeting, the PFIs were thanked for their presence and were invited to post any unposted information as soon as they returned to their respective institutions.
