As part of the periodic meetings of the Interinstitutional Focal Points (PFIs) of the CHM-Burundian Information Exchange Center, a second meeting was held in the premises of the OBPE liaison office. It was this Thursday, July 21, 2016. This meeting saw the participation of the various PFIs from the various state and private institutions working in the field of biodiversity.

The meeting was opened by the National Focal Point (NFP) of the CHM-Burundians who, after welcoming the participants, said that the objective of the meeting was to post the information on the CHM-Burundian website and to provide reports according to the objectives set at the previous meeting. The PFN also announced that the CHM-Burundian will participate in the competition for the prize for the exchange center (CHM) whose success requires their participation.

After this opening statement, the PFIs then began a phase of posting information on the website. This posting was done systematically under the NFP guide. The PFN then checked the web pages created and the documents posted on the site to see if they were in suitable places before validating them. This activity of posting and validating information took a long time and quite a bit of information was posted and validated. Thus, it was noted that PFIs marked an important step in posting information.

Before closing the meeting, the NFP invited PFIs to work hard to implement the Aichi Targets for everyone and to post more information needed to satisfy website visitors who want a variety of information in the field of biodiversity. The meeting went well and ended at 15:30 p.m. Bujumbura time.
