2014 Jan 27Abundance and distribution of Ctenidae (Araneomorpha: Araneae) in forest ecosystems of western Burundi and comparison with other countries of the South Sahara
This study focuses on the Ctenidae family of natural ecosystems in western Burundi, namely the low-lying Periguinean forest, open forests, Afromontane forests and xerophilic groves. Through this study, a systematic analysis of species, their abundance and distribution in the various ecosystems was made. The composition of species by sex was also debated. A comparison was made between Burundi and the rest of sub-Saharan countries in terms of the distribution of species already inventoried for this continent.
