In response to growing pressures from climate change, ecosystem approaches have proven to be a promising strategy for increasing ecosystem resilience and supporting sustainable livelihoods. The study analyses key policy documents concerning the integration of “ecosystem approaches to adaptation” as a tool for human adaptation. The study also examined the extent to which ecosystem-based approaches can influence adaptation, namely the conservation, sustainable management and restoration of ecosystems, which could help people adapt to the impacts of climate change. It also looked at whether climate change adaptation is included in existing strategies and plans, which would provide an inspirational basis for future integration of ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) at the level of the country in the policy development and implementation.
