As part of the project “Conservation and sustainable management of tropical rainforest ecosystems in Central Africa”, a diagnostic analysis of forest training needs in Burundi was carried out.

The modular training would focus on inventory methods, cartography, the use of the geographic information system, techniques for popularizing technical documents and regulatory texts, participatory rural assessment techniques as well as rural facilitation techniques (social engineering sciences), techniques for developing management plans and forest certification techniques.
