This Country Environmental Analysis (CEA) is a first step in the World Bank's support for Burundi's transition to inclusive and sustainable development. It was facilitated by a Burundi Governmental Steering Committee chaired by the Ministry of Water, Environment, Land Management and Urbanism (MEEATU) and co-chaired by the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Privatization. The World Bank has also set up a Coordination Committee managed by its Environment and Natural Resources team and bringing together experts from the Social, Urban and Rural Development and Resilience and Macroeconomics and Public Finance teams.
