2020 Jan 01Contingency Plan for the town of Bugarama, Burundi
The town of Bugarama mainly faces the risks of landslides and floods respectively upstream, where the slope is very steep, and downstream, in the plain where the rivers spread out with alluvial deposits before flowing into Lake Tanganyika. The establishment of a PF-C in Bugarama with the support of the ACCESS+ project is a support to deal with the risks of potential disasters at the level of the said municipality. Thus, the municipality has a team of 23 people who are trained in risk prevention and disaster management.
