The present study is a contribution to the implementation of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (SNPAB) in its objective 10. The results of this study are the indicators on the distribution area and the levels of proliferation of the invasive species Sericostachys scandens in Burundi. The effective exploitation of these results and of the actions proposed by this study could guide managers and decision makers on the control and eradication of this invasive species constituting a real threat to biodiversity, ecosystem services and the habitats of protected areas and other environments that harbor it.
