2016 Aug 01Ecotourism business plan for the Kibira and Ruvubu National Parks in Burundi
In order to succeed in the ecotourism enterprise, the OBPE, through the project “Improving the effectiveness of the PA management system for the conservation of biodiversity in Burundi through the engagement of stakeholders”, commissioned the development of the ecotourism business plan for the Kibira and Ruvubu National Parks under funding from UNDP/GEF.
The ecotourism business plan here advocated is a document that makes it possible to plan and visualize a project in the short and medium term, an essential tool for seeking funding from various actors in order to achieve financing for the protection of biodiversity and the sustainable development of coastal communities.
This ecotourism business plan focuses on the following important points:
- Overview of tourism and ecotourism for the Kibira and Ruvubu National Parks;
- Ecotourism market analysis;
- Investment and revenue analysis;
- Marketing strategy and policy;
- Establishment of the operational plan.
