This study was conducted from March to July 2018 at four distinct sites in western Burundi, in order to detect Tuta absoluta. Delta traps containing the pheromone from the Tutrack device and sticky paper were installed in tomato fields 40 cm above the ground. Samples were collected twice per week. The results confirmed the presence of T. absoluta in Burundi. Effective control of this pest is necessary to avoid heavy losses in tomato production.
