2019 Dec 07Forest disturbance affects pollinating insects in Burundi
Pollination corresponds to the transport of male cells from the flower of one plant to the female cell of the flower of another plant of the same species. The meeting of these two cells leads to fertilization which will give seeds and fruits. Thus, pollinating insects are pollen transporters that compensate for the fact that the plant cannot move in search of another individual who could be its sexual partner. It therefore needs another vector that facilitates the encounter of male and female cells. This vector is therefore a “pollinating insect”
