The control of coffee statistics is an essential tool to guide decision-making and rational management of resources. However, since the last General Census of Coffee Trees (RGC — 1998) and following the continuing socio-political crisis situation, coffee data have since changed. Thus, the OCIBU, in collaboration with ISTEEBU for its technical expertise, carried out the General Census of Coffee Trees, 2006-2007 Edition in order to have accurate and reliable information that will make it possible to carry out actions to rehabilitate the coffee orchard.

The objective of the General Census of Coffee Growers 2006-2007 is to provide a comprehensive set of structural reference data both for those interested in the development of coffee cultivation and for those who wish to have an overview of the current situation of coffee growing in Burundi.
