The Parties to this Regional Plan of Action (RPOA) to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing on Lake Victoria are: the Governments of the Republic of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Tanzania, and the Republic of Uganda, hereinafter referred to as the Partner States and the “Contracting Parties” of the Lake Victoria Fisheries Organization (LVFO). The Plan was adopted by the Council of Ministers of Lake Victoria Fisheries Organization on 27th of May 2004 at Bagamoyo, Tanzania.
