As part of the establishment of an ecological corridor connecting the Protected Landscapes (PP) of Makamba in southern Burundi with the Gombe National Park in Tanzania, a map of all forest ecosystems in Burundi has just been produced by the Association “Cosenravtion and Communities of Change”, 3C in acronyms. This map shows the area of some forest ecosystems to be included in the Makamba PP system, namely: Mukungu-Rukambasi PP (1406 ha), Rukonwe PP (229.5 ha), Muyange PP (103 ha), PP de Muyange (103 ha), PP de Rubungu-Kibabwe (2036 ha), Kabonga (73 ha), Baraga (1000 ha), Mpakanira (1000 ha), Mpakanira (103 ha), PP 786 ha), Mperehere (310 ha) and Shuza (786 ha).
