The work consisted in collecting quarterly on the pre-established sheets the data relating to the cutting of bamboos on three permanent plots of one ha installed in the Rwegura, Teza and Musigati sectors, to constitute a database for analyses and their final exploitation in three years. It is from the results of these analyses that measures and plans for the sustainable management of this forest resource, which is highly sought after for its multiple uses, will emerge.
