The article looks at the possibility of transforming vegetable waste of any kind and of using this transformed waste in energy production. The author exposes and analyzes, case by case, the basic methods of using waste to produce energy. It gives some indications for solving the problem of energy shortage based on the transformation of waste and the resulting use of gas in environmentally friendly power plants that use diesel fuel and biomass. Finally, it concludes with an observation that the recycling of waste from households (especially urban households) and industrial enterprises will solve not only the energy problem but also environmental problems, with wood and charcoal currently occupying 100 percent of domestic energy coverage and 95 percent of the national energy balance.
