This preliminary catalog concerns Fabaceae from Burundi. A list of 67 genera and 261 species based on the analysis of 2533 samples collected between 1922 and 2005 was drawn up. The references of all samples preserved in the herbariums of the University of Burundi (BU), the Free University of Brussels (BRLU) and the National Botanical Garden of Belgium (BR) have been specified. The results from this study will be used later to produce the complete catalog of the flora of Burundi.
