As part of the CHM-OBPE project, the OBPE, through the program of research, information exchange, information exchange, awareness-raising and conservation of biodiversity in Burundi, under the funding of the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences of Belgium (IRSNB), has the mission of conducting research on the ecosystem services of plants of socio-economic and cultural interest in Burundi. He conducted research on Cordia africana in the ecosystems of Burundi through a study on the distribution and socio-cultural role of Cordia africana in Gitega province. Thus, a field survey was carried out in the natural region of the central plateaus in the province of GITEGA in order to supervise the activities of collecting data on research on Cordia africana (Umuvugangoma) in the ecosystems of Burundi carried out by a Master's student researcher at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Burundi. This activity was carried out from 21 to 23 February 2022.
