The activities marking World Disaster Reduction Day will take place on October 9, 2020 in Nyeshenza in the commune of Mugina, province Cibitoke (north-western Burundi) under the theme “disaster risk governance”, announced the Minister of the Interior, Community Development and Public Security, Mr. Gervais Ndirakobuca. The celebration of the International Day for Disaster Reduction in 2020 focuses on the ^5th target, namely “Significantly increase the number of countries with national and local disaster risk management strategies”.
