On September 20, 2024, the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock officially launched the project entitled: “Restoring landscapes to increase resilience in urban and peri-urban areas of Bujumbura (Ntahangwa II)”. A 5-year project with a budget of around 9.5 million USD financed by the Global Environment Fund (GEF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
