The Conservatory of Natural Spaces (CEN) d'Auvergne is a non-profit association under the 1901 law, with a double mission: to preserve and restore the natural heritage in Auvergne, and to develop citizen engagement.

Created in 1989, CEN Auvergne now manages a network of more than 212 sites, or 1533 hectares (aquatic environments, hills and dry plateaus, orchards of ancient fruit varieties, geological heritage, geological heritage, bat sites, forests and subalpine environments).
